Are we in denial?

I've been confused for a bit but definitely lately. I've been trying to figure out whether some people want to see change in the world when it comes to inequalities surrounding our differences....or are they just wearing the Black Lives Matter skin out front and behind closed doors they shed that skin. Something's just not adding up.

Does it seem like the more people protest the more incidents there are to protest about? I mean, please share your thoughts with me. I'm just trying to get some clarity as to what the heck is going on here.

There is absolutely little to no unity in the United States right now. There are people of different races that have been friends since grade school yet the split between the Trump supporters and the Biden supporters has dissolved that friendship. So, that brings me back to my initial question. Are we in denial...as a people?

Here's what I see. The more we say Black Lives Matter, the more they say All Lives Matter, and the more they say Blue Lives Matter. So, obviously there is no acceptance here. There's a disconnect somewhere. It has to feel like a dog chasing its tail at some point.

I'm not saying that we should throw in the towel when it comes to the fight for justice and equality. Never. There has been too many lives lost and the fight requires stamina like the tortoise- not the hare. I'm just asking if anyone else feels that there is going to have to be a different approach if acceptance of each other is ever truly going to happen. Someone needs to step in and mediate this situation. We need to get on the same page. America is like a marriage. Each of us as Americans needs to understand that none of us can get our way all of the time. You win some battles...you lose some battles. Ultimately the war is the Superbowl in this. That's the true win. That's why marriages and relationships in general need compromise. Again, you don't give up the quest to right the wrongs, but a change in the approach should be considered. Just sayin'. Thoughts?
